    CANASTOTA - Genevieve E. Capparelli, 89, 114 Diamond St., died early Sunday morning, Dec. 10, 2006, in the
    Extended Care Facility of the Oneida Healthcare Center, where she had been a patient for the past five and one-half
    months. Born in Oneida on April 20, 1917, she was the daughter of Clinton and Catherine Ayers Evans. A lifelong
    resident of the Canastota area, Mrs. Capparelli was a graduate of Canastota High School, Class of 1934. She married
    Joseph A. Capparelli in Oswego on Oct. 30, 1936. Mr. Capparelli died on Aug. 5, 1986. Prior to her retirement, Mrs.
    Capparelli was employed as the account clerk and treasurer of the Canastota Central School from 1957 to 1974 and was
    later employed as a bookkeeper with the Stockbridge Valley Central School, the former Canastota Fruit Company and the
    former Fitzsimmons Foodland. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canastota and was active in various
    bowling leagues in this area.
    Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph C. and Veronica Capparelli Sr. of Canastota; two daughters and sons-
    in-law, Kathryn and Lawrence D'Angelo of Whitesboro and Judith and Dario Damore Sr. of Canastota; two sisters and
    brothers-in-law, Ruth and Clinton Thurston of Canastota and Emaline and Paul Rathbun of Cazenovia; seven
    grandchildren and their spouses, Susan D'Angelo, Lawrence and Patty D'Angelo, Michael and Julie D'Angelo, Cathy and
    Timothy Williams, Joseph and Lori Capparelli Jr., Lynn and Lyle Chafee, Darlene and Jim Hertel, Anthony and Terri
    Damore, Dario Damore Jr., Robert Damore and her special buddy, Joanne and Jerry White; one great-great-grandchild;
    several nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Joyce Miller, Gen Meyers, Mary Ackerman and Jane Slaski.
    Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday from St. Agatha's Church, with the Reverend Robert Bromfield officiating.
    Interment will be made in St. Agatha's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home Inc., 300 South
    Peterboro St., Canastota, 4-7 p.m., Wednesday. Contributions, in her memory, may be made to Greater Lenox Ambulance
    Service, Box 382, Canastota, NY 13032 or the ECF Patient Fund, Box 705, Oneida, NY 13421. Envelopes for this fund

    William J. Putman, 82, of 3792 Sconondoa Road died Monday at Oneida City Hospital. A native of Pope Mills, Mr.
    Putman also lived in the Lowville area before moving to Oneida in 1941. He retired in 1975 as an auto mechanic after 25
    years with the former Carl Woods Service Station in Oneida.
    Mr. Putnam was a member of the Sconondoa Volunteer Fire Department. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving
    are his wife, the formr Dorothy Perry; three sons, William of Boothwyn, Pa., Richard of California and James of Amarillo,
    Texas; a daughter, Elizabeth Kirk of Wampsville; a brother, Morris Hill of South Russell; a sister, Roxa Snell of Marcellus;
    17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at J. Homer Ball Funeral
    Home, Canastota . Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango. There will be no calling hours.

    was born in Binghamton and has lived in the Syracuse Elbridge area since 1963. He was a 1977 graduate of
    Jordan Elbridge High School and worked as a senior care specialist for many years, mainly at Green Point and
    Loretto nursing homes in Liverpool. He was pre-deceased by his father, Chester M. Ayers in 1990 and Kenneth
    Tambs in 2003. Survivors: his mother, Joyce J. Ayers of Walworth, NY; three sisters, Jane Ayers-Clark of

Funeral services for William Ayers age 49, who died Saturday at his
conducted from the late home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and
burial was in Chtitenango.
Mr Ayers had been a resident of this village for 22 years during a great
part of which eh was connected with the Lehigh Valley Railroad
Surviving relatives include his widow  Emma and five children, Mrs
Clinton Evans, Mrs. Floyd Coon, Miss Mildred Ayers, Miss Bertha
Ayers and Chester Ayers, three sisters Mrs. Charles H. Brown, Mrs.
Beatrice Higgins and Mrs Jennie Daniels all of Canastota.

Mrs. Emma Ayers, 56 widow of Wiliam F. Ayers died Sunday at her
home in So. Main St after and illness of three weeks.  She was a
native of Cazenovia and came to Canastota after her marriage.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs Clinton Evans of Canastota, Mrs
Floyd Coon of Oneida, Mrs. David Perry of Sherrill, Mrs. Bernard Moon
of Merillsville, a son Chester Ayers of Canastota, a sister Mrs Peter
Tierney of Chittenango and four grand children.  
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the homne with Rev E.
OJessup, pastor of Baptist church officiating.  Burial was in Oakwood
cemetery in Chittenango.
